A blog: New Start, New Art, New Inspiration

Well, I am going to try to keep a blog going, again!!!  I am a new Fun Stampers Creative Journey Coach, so I need to get my ideas and creations out there.

I am going to start by blogging and adding cards, until all of my creations for the last 3 months are posted.  My goal is to post a new card regularly with Journey supplies and some wonderful finds along the way, maybe revisit some old ones too.  Hopefully I will post more often than not.
I always create on the fly.  I see a stamp, play with it, color it, then design the card.  Sometimes, I color and stamp an image many times before it lands on a card.  Sometimes it just happens!  Thus, I named this Little Bits:  documented moments of creative spark, because that is truly what my card making entails, a spark!!! A light goes on, it works, or it doesn't.  It is good therapy and I feel better and calmer, even if the final project lands in the trash.  But if I lucky it will bring a spark to someones day.

My first group of cards I would like to share is the mixed media, Tim Holtz inspired creations.   I wanted to play with just backgrounds, and to use my new distress colors, Cracked Pistachio and Abandoned Coral.  So I made a few, on different papers, with different distress products (ink pads, re-inkers, pens, paint, and stain. I stamped, spritzed, dipped, water colored, and inked.  Then taking the best created these three cards.   Enjoy and will post again tomorrow.  Josette

Butterfly was cut from a soda can and backed with paper.  The card is stamped, inked and distressed.

Started out as a hot mess, but turned out ok.

Love this card.  Inked, distressed and then stamped, re-inked.
